King Koopa made all Toads into Trees or Blocks, and you as Mario BREAK those blocks and EAT the mushrooms that appear from them... guess where do those mushroom "heads" come from...

Cont... for these people eating an animal means that the animal is now part of you or you are part that animal. Its life didn’t end, it continues through the circle of life. So in a world of talking animals and plants you either add non-talking animals and plants or you change their views.

@The Pug. Some human cultures have offering the dead to the birds instead of burying the body and cultures that practiced cannibalism just had different views on what means to eat and be eaten. Even eating animals is seen differently on different cultures. Some see eating as incorporating

He's Italian, they use Mushrooms in every dish.

Depends since cats and rats are sorta okay since people don't "normally" eat both.
Pigs...well, pigs do cannibalize their own.
Even Zootopia implied that most ate fish because "no one care about fishes"...that and heavy implication with all of species being omnivore.

this is why i don't like fantasy settings with sentient animals. Makes no sense eating any kind of meat
