I wish NerfNow had longer comments, so I could just scroll over them(especially if they're colapsed) instead of seeing a 10 piece essay with same nickname.
I wish for it enough to bitch about it.

For all the artists making money on Patreon, your work just keeps getting worse and lazier. People pay you for lewds when you can't draw a face? Must be nice.
Also, if you're the kind to make your game buying decisions based on what the big game review sites say, congratulations, you're exactly the kind of sucker they're catering to.
Honestly, I generally stick to indie games or games made by smaller companies, and give more time to reviewers checking out games that would otherwise slip under the radar. I freely admit there's no shortage of crap indie games, but at least the devs have the excuse of less money and staff, and are

So, they now follow 'whatever keeps the algorithm happy' mentality. They keep to a schema, as that 'guarantees' them influx of viewers and money. Until of course the algorithm changes and they search for a new thing. But that's why videos are like they are.

The reason is simple. Back in the day the content posted on YouTube was mostly something people made for fun in spare time. They said whatever they wanted about the game and such.
But, once the partner program really took off, a lot of creators quit their jobs to do YouTube full time.
But it don't matter, does it? You've become so calcified in your beliefs that *you* don't change, so this flies over your head. I've seen people play your shtick every time, and I know what you're really saying: "I'm a pliant consumer that doesn't want to hear you whine, it harshes my mellow."
Nextgener, don't pull that "wizened mature advice-giver" shtick. It's hollow and fake as fuck. Speaking of fake, you missed the point of the comic talking like that: There's a formula here, and what Jo is implying is that the opinions being shown are *not real.*
If all you watch at the end of the day are some of the most popular creator's out there, you really don't have much right to complain at the end of the day. Well, that's my 3cent's. Feel free to tell me how wrong I am in the comment's and don't forget to Smash that Dislike Button and hit Unsubsribe.
3. If ya don't like it, oh well. We live in an age of content. If there are content creator's you don't like, find one's you do. You wanna find a content creator who doesn't compromise they're ideals for money? Good. It won't be easy but there out there.
Your opinion's on thing's change overtime. Shocking I know. We do live in the era where it's easy to drown in the hype, but that's something that's not mutually exclusive to content creator's. It's human to feel excitement, and without it, it'd be a very gray world to live in.
2. Opinion's are Opinion's. If you really don't agree with everything someone has to say, congratulation's you have a Brain. Which mean's you can form different views in life, and if you wanna share them, then that's your right. But you'll need a platform to do it on and guess what?
1. Grown ups need money to survive. And no I'm not talking about this B.S. assessment that "Indie is the way to go" without taking into account how many indie studio's failed or succeed but were ultimately backed up by a handful of investor's with enough money to ensure they're success.
*sigh* look, I hate to be "That Guy". But let's be real here, don't be childish about growing up. The whole "Not compromising your ideals" shtick is cute when your younger, But let's open up 3 important point's here.
Andrew, what sort of content are you thinking of? I mostly watch Magic draft videos and HEMA sword fights on YouTube, which don't really fit what you describe.
Here's where I'm at with Youtube: There are so many legitimately evil people making monetized content meant to do mental harm to others, that if YouTube nukes monetization from orbit, I'll consider the loss of the good and honest channels acceptable collateral damage.
