@Ovis Militaris Actually, the ironic thing with that example was that Flight was by and far the worst travel skill in CoH. If you knew the maps, S.Speed would always get there the fastest. S.Jump had all the benefits of flight and was twice as fast. SJ + SS was king since you usually got 2 anyway.
Funny how other characters that are usually ground bound gained special items, like Punisher shows in this comic (and I think Hawkeye got a jetpack that gives him a super jump or something).
Wolvie does have some dash moves tough. I think? Some characters have only a running move, like Caps too.
And the area with the floating islands gave you launchers to get from one to the next, although that also required either memorizing where they all were or else just keeping a map open. The ingame map probably had them marked somehow but it was small and hard to use.
@Ovis Militaris The way I remember it super speed was way faster at actually getting anywhere, although it did kinda require memorizing routes to avoid getting stuck running into buildings. Flight was simpler to go in a straight line but slower.
@Michael Sypher he still is at serious disadvantage over all the others who can fly, web swing or even wall run. His saving is that even if he can’t hit them unless they get close enough they can’t kill him either since he is basically invincible.
Magik has mobility issues?!? Her actual mutant power is teleportation!

This reminds me of the movement powers in City of Heroes. There was Flight... and then there was everything else. Superspeed had it the worst IMHO. Especially on those floating islands in the sky. Teleportation was for micromanaging masochists. Leaping was flight, minus the flight.
