The keyword was "Trying". Obviously Overwatch is an almagam of ideas and concept's other's have done (the cowboy is called Mcree because of course). But anyone who's Played both Overwatch and TF2 wouldn't call them a clone at all. It's like calling Mario and Sonic alike.

Hey now. The only original idea they've ever had isn't Diablo, it's Lost Vikings. Diablo, at least originally, is just Rogue or maybe more specifically Angband with a budget.

Overwatch is original? Bullshit. Everything done in Overwatch is based on TF2. Classic Blizzard formula, look at someone else's game and try to make a better version of it. The only original idea Blizzard ever hard was Diablo. Blizzard made great games, but they were based on proven concepts.

Saying Dragon Quest is Japanese Wizardry, is like saying a Katana is a Japanese Dao. Sure... they are the same category, but they are visually different and crafted differently.

Atleast Overwatch was Trying to be original, where as Marvel Rivals is just painting Marvel skins over Overwatch skins. (and then blizzard killed it to make an inferior sequel, so I guess somethings never change)

The whole "Nothing is orginal" line is basically just an easy excuse for people to be lazy with they're work's. Nothing wrong with using past concept's, but coming up with a new idea is always more rewarding and basically how civilization evolved over the year's.

in the realm of creativity, true originality is elusive, all concepts have precedence, the essence lies not in the creation itself, but in its execution, should you craft your rendition with genuine intent rather than mimicry of others' success, your unique place will surely be recognized.

Nothing is original, every idea has been done before. What matters isn't what you make, it's how you make it. As long as you make your version of it because you want to, rather than copy someone else just because they were successful, there will be a place for you as well.
