Do you not have a literal shitton of those worthless things? I've been playing for 20 hours and I've got a place out back with chests full of them. Cant delete the shit and if you leave it lying around youll see it glistening on ground everywhere so you gotta clean them up and hide them somewhere.
The game is Valheim. The reason it cannot be weight is that you can port with 300lb of wood no problem, but 10lb of metal ore will block you every time.
In the game, metal items (swords, axes, whatever) can be teleported, but ore and ingots cannot.

Probably a joke about how many of them you get. You can’t throw them away, because you do actually need them for quite a few things, but I have an entire container filled with the things.
@Nick Manning. That's more Celtic folklore than Norse mythology.
Especially the notion of "Fay". That's very British. The Norse equivalent were Elves, Dwarves and Trolls. Often Dwarves & Elves were treated as more or less the same creature. And they don't have any inherent weaknesses to cold iron.
Can't TP cold/ non forged materials makes since if it's fay magic.
Fay are vunerable to cold iron.
And dragon eggs are magic. You would not want to Tp them.
It is basically to force you to make supply runs and not just teleport all over the world. It also ties into the risk / reward of setting sail with a ship crammed full of iron and hoping you won't have a sea serpent or two show up to ruin your day.
