Watch Super Sentai Zyuranger, Saban butchered the story to make MMPR work for a US/World audience. Zyuranger is much more Darker. Child Sacrifice, Demonic Summoning, Moral choices, Singing and Dancing Villeins. The Hero's have to earn their Weapons, Zords and End Victory.

I must say that I like pokemon, there is small dose of nostalgia as gen 1 was my first step on computer world by learning emulators from friends older brother. Topic itself, there is still cool and cute ones and animation is top shit, while games are basically same since gen 1. (fun way tho)

I like Abra the best. It's a psychic cat-lizard that can teleport you - the ultimate pet!

Gen 5 was the pinnacle, then the Pokemon and storylines got stale. The Legends games brought new life into the story, but the playstyle isn't for everyone. That said Pokemon GO is what keeps the story alive, and I'll admit I play that too.

I stopped playing the games a while ago, but I really liked the Kabutops. Ground and Water type leaving it with no weaknesses (at the time)? Sign me up.

Only Pokemon I actually played was Red, and a bit of Yellow. Plus some early involvement with the Pokemon TCG. Favorite Pokemon? Abra.

did enjoy the pokemon snap games though, very cozy little games.

i wasn't really enchanted enough by pokemon to get the obsession, though i did enjoy playing through a few of the entries(think i only played the main games of gens 1-3, didn't have the handheld of 4-7, didn't have an interest in 8 or 9's main as they seemed to have nerfed the difficulty alot)

Pokemon came out when I was in high school. It was mainly Pokemon and MMPR my brothers had playing in the other room while I was doing home work.
Main reason for me to even know any thing about it today, is because of my Waifu's interest in it.

You touch on an interesting subject here: The fact that something is not to your actual liking, doesn't mean we can't be glad that other people do enjoy it. It also reminds me of a comic you did a few years back, where a kid is nuts about 1st gen pokemon, but 15 years later she is grown up.

I like Pokemon but i dont like what the Pokemon Company, Gamefreak and Nintendo made it into. It lost its soul around the 6th generation. The highest grossing Entertainment Franchise on the Planet by a wide margin (its almost twice as big as the MIKEY MOUSE) but they cut on every corner possible.
