Also, I'm sure BG3 will be a great game, Larian is very competent, but i'm not so sure you can really call it a Baldur's Gate -3-, since it will have a different style and will probably have little to do with the quest and characters from the previous game.

Baldur's Gate is one of my favorite sereis of all time, but i get the frustration. Recently i also gave up on replaying because i couldn't decide what to do: paladin, bard, or ranger.

Kingmaker is fairly decent now that the bugs have been cleared out. Wrath of the Righteous (not shown here) should be avoided, the good story does not make up for the absolute slog it turns in to if you aren't using guides/spoilers to min-max.
