Not to derail the conversation, but if nobody is going to pick up that girl can I keep her? Jane isn't best girl, but she is pretty good.

I'll admit I was very confused about the format, browsing from my PC. Definitely made me laugh! Browsing from my Samsung Galaxy S10 phone, the text was a bit small and I had to zoom in anyways to read it. Not 100% on this one yet, but keep experimenting!

I'm sort of in the middle on this.
I thought this was okay for the long-arc.
But seeing this here for the regular comic makes me not like it.

I think it can work, but at the same time people (not me idc) might be off put by switching between vertical and horizontal.

I actually like this now that I think about it. Having to scroll down gives me a moment to read the joke without also seeing the punchline at the same time. to an extent.

(1/3) I agree with previous posters. The depicted format is *neither* desktop *nor* mobile friendly.

On PCs it adds scrolling, where previously none was necessary. On mobile, it doesn't improve anything. Same amount of zooming, same number of scrolling directions.

(2/3) To optimize for mobile, you'd have to change the whole layout, webtoons.com-style. But that's not so great for desktop users.

(3/3) The only thing that's really BAD for mobile is having to zoom *both* vertically and horizontally. That is usually caused by book-page-like panel arrangements and doesn't apply here.

I normally use my phone sideways though because you have more screen-space for text that doesn't do
this
all
the
time.

Have to agree with everyone else. Definitely not PC friendly and you can always tip a phone over sideways anyway.

I like it on PC, myself. Scrolling down isn't bad, and it looks way better on mobile.

Not a fan of vertical comics like this. It isn't PC friendly, nor is it mobile friendly IMO. I've always turned my mobile device horizontally when reading on the web, because it's easier to read that way.

Nah. I have to scroll down. Might be good if you had a big 2x6 panel comic but not for the three panels.

The site doesn't change it's layout for mobile and desktop, so the comic layout changing doesn't really do much

Definitely not a fan of this format. In my opinion, it's unpleasant on mobile and PC. The standard left to right feels much more comfortable to read.

@Andrew Vrba Weird Bol fan-comic stuff? It was a Binding of Isaac comic.

The site layout itself is counter-productive toward vertical comics. If you're REALLY going to do this (please don't), you need to mess with your CSS for a while.

Oh? *rubs eyes* We're done with the weird BoI fan-comic stuff now?

On PC vertical comics don't look as good due to needing to scroll to get to the next part, on mobile i need to zoom in on the screen regardless if it is horisontal or not to read the text while the rest of the image is fine either way i would say.

not particulary good on a decktop monitor. On mobile, I'm used to inconveniences anyway (and can also orient it horizontally), but on decktop PC I'm kinda use to watch comics without hitches
