Pocky&Rocky is one of those rare culturally Japanese games that made it to the West. I remember renting this game in 94' and there were many many references that flew over my head and some that were translated completely wrong.

The gameplay makes me remember SNES "Ghoul Patrol". Fun game. As opposed to the more ARPG-type "Secret of XXX" games. Secret of Evermore was maybe my favorite; Though the main party characters are hardly much of a character, the world-building was great.

Can't say I ever got the chance to play Pocky & Rocky, but I do remember reading about it in Nintendo Power, and it looked fun.

Man, i used to love Pocky & Rocky back in the day. I didn't know the name back in the day because my game was in japanese, though.

It seems to be a great game for a remake. It's nice to have more coop games like it, and it's cute style and theme are awesome.
