Since I don't want to eat shit, I guess I'll go with being a "toxic" fan

Do nothing but take the money from Anne's panel and we have "naive/stupid fan".

Marshall Kelloway: Insulting people is not ok but we are free to insult their idea, work and everything else

For example, if you are an artist and somebody says you art sux, then it hurts a lot but it is part of the job. However, if somebody says "you sux", then it is not a critic but personal

Notice how the second panel have money in their pockets, signifying paid reviews.

/2 Anne could also be right, however, because while it's not the best, insulting people for liking things you don't like is just being a dick.

/1 Jane could also be right because honestly, Pokemon is a MASSIVE franchise and could have done better.

Conversely, Anne could be wrong because buying SwSh tells them that it's okay to be "just okay", and nobody really wants a beloved franchise like Pokemkn to be "just okay". /2

As always, context is important. On the one hand, you don't want to bitch about things not being up to a high standard, but on the other hand, you do deserve a decent AAA game for a AAA price.

Take Pokemon Sword/Shield. Jane could be wrong because it's an alright game all things considered. /1

@Kevin Li that's money. Remember that's Anne she's the most likely to take a payoff and then shill for the company.

This seems more like an honest fan, and a good sheep instead of a good fan, and a Toxic fan, because they are having you pay for a plate of shit.

I'm one of Blizzard's 'toxic fans' atm.

@Robert Hardaman Pretty sure that's just a green hair tie, not dollar bills

Nice detail with the dollar bills poking out from Anne's backpocket.
