I would agreed but I'm from Colombia and the times I out the country, the coffee is just bad like "seriusly how do you even drank that"... well sometimes.
There are "tintos" on the "tiendas" better than some starbucks.
I'm told being a professional at telling what kinds of coffee/chocolate/confectionery stuff are good for a particular use can be complicated (or at least require lots of memorization) and there are certifications for that sort of thing. Kind of strange, I thought, but its cool.
