Misstep

At some point, Gwent devs decided to scrap the game and remake it.

Honestly, I respect the decision because while I really enjoyed some of the early versions, having 6 lanes total made the game very cramped. It was simply not a nice game to watch, especially after you have seen what Artifact and Magic Arena been doing.

CD Projekt decided to "go big or go home" but sadly seen they went home. The new game with just 4 lanes and some new mechanics didn't prove popular enough and lots of goodwill was lost. Coupled with Magic Arena and Artifact hitting the market they never recovered.

Not saying it's a bad game at all, but they share the room with several others card games now and simply didn't made enough splash to take a big share of the market.
