@Beastwolf: Both actually. Priest is my favorite and most played class, and I do appreciate some of the epic late game battles than can happen against them.
I personally just think priest needs better anti-aggro cards, but NOT better anti-control cards. Control priest is still beaten by control warrior most times, but a dedicated anti aggro priest still has to coin flip to beat a zoolock or face shaman
With control vs control matches, yes, they take an hour to happen, but each individual action MATTERS, and even sub optimal decks can win as long as you're skilled at using them.
With aggro/tempo/zoo, it's a deck building exercise. Better draw = winmore.
I.... strongly disagree, Jo. I much prefer games where there is a battle of wits and a tug of war for the board. Just vomitting minions onto the board to rush everybody down just isn't INTERESTING.*cont*
Actually, I see quite a bit of priest on ladder right now. I'm running Dragon Priest, but more commonly I see Thief Priest, even the occasional Shadow Priest. Priest, Zoolock, and Paladin are the three most common classes I'm seeing on ladder.
@GES280: Actually, not at all. Priest's spells are exceptionally good against big minions. They will destroy your shit for 3 mana, and what they don't, they will steal from you. Priest is the ultimate control class, really hard to out-value. That's why I love him and disagree with Jo, it's quite fun
Who is asking to buff priests? I hate priest with all my soul and it should stay where he is now, on tier 4. Priest is aweful, hate playing with him, hate playing againts him.
Pardon my ignorance, but wouldn't the best counter to this build be a ramp deck? This is from a person with limited experience with hearthstone so please enlighten me if I'm completely wrong.
I really don't like priest either. They're always "Oh, my deck sucks, but yours will do nicely. And, I'll even let you pay the mana costs too. Now summon more minions for me, serf!" Down with Cabal, down with Shadow Madness, bring back heal/buff/tempo Priest.
Make Priest great again.
On the topic of Priest balance, unless Blizzard decide to add more strong basic cards to Priests, Priests will at most, be strong for 1 rotation, since basic and classic Priest have very few strong independent cards. Lightbomb, Dark Cultist and Holy Champion being expansion cards.
I dread Priest matchups as well, since I prefer to play control decks with big minions, Priests shit on big minion decks, since they can out-tempo me with SW:D and Entomb.
I'm of the extreme minority in saying that I personally thought the Grim Patron meta was the most fun I had in Hearthstone, with this meta being a very close second.
