I keep forgetting that Hawken exists, each day I get home from work, do a LoL daily, log into warframe to relax in the varied slaughter (from which I earn something towards a new variety of equipment) and neglect my massive backlog of single player games.

I... really need to get back into Hawken. I loved my Brawler.
to the dota fans saying alchemist is trash, the joke is she was bribed to say alchemist with the gift.
@jo pereira: yea the defaults are fairly ugly in hawken, heck even with the variants and paint jobs most are ugly, i think the designs were meant to look more functional then pretty though?
@Lunglung: Alchemist is currently being played as a support thanks to the Scepter change. More commonly, they just go jungling to get their gold and then buff everybody else, rather than directly carry the team to victory.
And best carry currently is PA. I mean really. Procs through knife...
Second, I'd name void. Moon Shard is cheaper and easier.
After that the usual. Gyro, Medusa, AM, Lone Druid, Spectre...
Oh, and honorable mention to Terrorblade, a bad carry who got nerfed :')
I've played Hawken and I liked it. It's been a while since I played, though. If you're interested in another FPS, have you checked out Star Wars Battlefront 3? It looks friggin' AWESOME!
Hawken was great back when I played, it has been quite a while since that though. The mechs were very unbalanced when they decided to release a lot in a short time-span. It's not really p2w but p2grind-a-lot-less, which means new players will always be punished.
@Jo Pereira: I know a game you may like: Shadow Warrior. It's not a multiplayer FPS, no, but it has some of the best melee combat I've ever seen in an FPS and it's extremely fun as a whole.
@Jo Pereira: As Olright said, you should try out warframe, if not already done. It is a sci-fi 3rd person rpg-ish shooter. The game is multi-player, with tons of weapons, with different styles, and that can be modded to your liking. There are also several melee weapons, and characters !
You're much too late to be trying out hawken, Jo. It used to be a lot more fun before they fiddled with balance to the point where ttk on many things is basically same and anything different from "shoot at them til they 'splode" got nerfed.
In my mind's eye Alch just slams the scepter onto the recipient's head, and as the crystal shatters over their skull, the transfer of power is complete!
