Thankfully there are still some cute options around, but yeah, some of the new models look a bit out of place. Or scary. I do hope they did something about the gnome male's annoying voice though.

Heh, I can relate, as I have a female Gnome Mage, and I believe I also have that same face option. Hopefully it wouldn't take much to reduce the shadows under her eyes and make her a bit less frowny. :/

Recently in this patch they added a change facial feature at the babershop. So you don't have to pay a single cent to check out all the different varieties with the model rework.

There's a toggle in options to use old models instead -_-

(Cont.) In that case the new face is too different from the original, and players that chose the old face will be short-changed. The other faces don't seem to have that problem; their new versions are relatively close to the old.

I've never played WoW, but from looking at what Jo posted on his Twitter I think the new models look good, and are a respectable improvement over the old ones. But I do think Jo's complaints regarding the face he chose for his character are valid, though. (Cont. Above)

You could always blame the droves of spastics that charged to the forums demanding them to change the gnome females because they were all smiling and didn't look serious enough.

The Gnomes are a very old race . They are also dieing out . SO of course they will look ole .I like most of how the modles were redon . I think female do need some lipstick though.

The female Draenei got the best treatment, also jo did you try the different faces? You know you could change them. Or you could roll draenei and spam dance for the "expressive" faces :p

Just like using a restricted colour palette to draw, using low poly can be great if applied properly. Of course, Blizzard would have had to use the same amount of man power to design the "high quality" low poly characters.

there are free face changes at the barbers. There are quite a few faces that arent like that and meet peoples definitions of "smooth faced cute"

The new change has made a few nice changes and a few... ugly ones. Yes this is a game and technically most people care more about stats and abilities than graphics considering how long some people have played the game. Just glade my crazy warlock goblin wasn't one of the that took a nasty turn.
