@Liro Raeriyo: Ha you never played Divine Divinity clearly, if you didn't have the key/enough lockpick, the answer was to steal the whole chest and put it in your stockpile, whereeveryou made it.

If it's Pathfinder, then you need a Perception check, but if it's DnD, then it's a Spot Check, Survival is only good for not getting lost and foraging for food and such. Either way, this is why you have a Rogue in the party.

If you want to open the chest you must buy a key first. no no not with gold. with real money. pay the DM 1.99 per key. the key will grant you the ability to roll a d20 for an item from one of several loot lists.

I've seen that type of face on many a GM, this does not bode well for our heroes.
