It goes to show that losing wgihet is not just about cutting calories and exercising, but about finding out what kind of diet suits you. I couldn't lose wgihet at all going that route. What worked for me was to go on a low GI, near sugar-less diet. That's when the pounds fell off for me. I'm mostly

Just downloaded OATH in felghana on steam, and there is such an item in the first dungeon!

The surprising part is it's still one of my favorite games. Replayed favorite games.

The far end of a secret dungeon? Meh... How about putting up a dungeon with one really really useful spell in the area you want to run away from FAST and putting a someone with a trollish sense of, well, everything in the place of said dungeon's boss? Yep, that's Phantasy Star IV I'm speaking about.

You forget that games are commodities now and studios have bigger budgets than ever to fill, Jo.

When marketers run the roost and sales figures are king, the marketers aren't going to let the people making AAA, $20-million-budget titles be anything but accessible to the lowest IQs in the bracket.

I remember from back in the day when you relished the chance to find those hidden passages, bumping into walls like a drunkard, and felt that if you missed even one chest, you didn't truly beat the game. Then again, FFII is one of my favorites in the series so perhaps I'm odd...

Honestly, I DO really miss those times! Finding that elusive item or hard to find chest was reward enough to explore all the game. But now, the loot and content are useless you can skip almost 90% content of the new games (subquests, random chests, etc) and complain why the new games are so short.

I dunno, that only applies to older games. I got used to newer games having crap in the chests, or in some cases only having money. It's gotten to the point that if the chests in a game haven't been rewarding me as they should, I'll just not care about any locked ones I come across.

BLU Scout

Its funny, didn't you find a spare key in the last chest you unlocked anyway?
Fijiman

In games like Oblivion and Skyrim I usually check every container that I can because you never know what awesome loot might be inside. Of course that wasn't helped by my grabbing of anything worth money so that I wouldn't become broke every time I bought supplies during the early parts of the game.

@FunkyMonk: Actually, it's four specific chests that you need to avoid. A shame NOBODY WARNS YOU ABOUT THE FOUR IN GAME! Ended up restarting my game from the beginning so that I could get it.

I still have the compulsion to burn every stick of ammo before picking up another box of 20 shells in hl2, it's a waste of shells if I don't!

I am reminded of that blue dragon game where you could check nearly anything for gold/items. I collected a ton of "nothing"s, lol

The dragon wasn't slain, he just made a deal that he'd let link get with the babe if he could watch

Mystery is spelled incorrectly... or is there something I'm missing?
Jackkel

I know the feeling. Thankfully, most modern game developers know better than to put critical items in some out-of-the-way place without at least hinting to the location. I still end up wondering what's behind all the things I never took the time to check...
