Now, kids, which of these commenters has spent the last few weeks ragging on this game and posting about it at every opportunity instead of, you know, playing video games? First one wins a prize!

Stanley Parable was ahead of it's time, mocking guidance systems with the Stanley Parable Adventure Line since 2013

Its for this, the new AAA games are called "games for journalists" they arent aimed to gamers but for those "journalists" to write-up an article with positive scores with the aim to manipulate reception and increase the sales, since a lot of people still caring about scores in big websites

Yes, but with DLSS5. :> Also, datacenters need the silicon more than you do, so good luck being able to afford your next computer.

Sadly this is how most people feel when they play a game.

the sad thing is, i've seen way too many youtuber videos where they start playing a new game only to spend half an hour not knowing what to do or how the controls works WHEN IT IS RIGHT THERE IN THEIR HUD! spelled out in english, just read your mf screen!

so, yeah, more hints can help sometimes

Yes, but a better example would be old games like Dragon's Lair, except you can't lose.

So what you're saying, Jo, is that Visual Novels are the endgame of the video games industry.

The funny part is that we already had this: David Cage made a whole career out of making "cinematic games". This game (and much of the AAA games industry in general) seems to be approaching that, just from the other direction, dumbing down action games instead of scaling up adventure games.
