I don't follow GTA news but my feed always has some tidbit about it. Leaks, unions, videos... there is a clear dissonance about how much everybody (seen to) care about it and how little I do.

I won't say there isn't an interest on the game, but I feel there is a bit of astroturf and exaggeration. Gaming is too vast and diverse now and GTA, big as it is, don't appeal to a lot of people, same way match-3 mobile games don't appeal to everybody but nobody says Candy Crush 2 is going to change gaming.
