Fun comic, keep it up!
Don't listen to the grifters telling you they didn't enjoy it, you can't please everyone.

Honestly, a pattern with too many names to be worth retelling.

The Great Video Game Crash of 1983 was much bigger, yes, but was also made up of dozens of video games and entire consoles flopping in relatively quick succession.

I don't like people claiming Highguard is "the next Concord".

This is not out of any particular love of Highguard, but out of hate for Concord.

Highguard just flopped. Concord, on the other hand, was quite possibly the biggest single failure in video game history. (continued)

the most childish and accurate part is blaming the players

Could you stop with the constant strawman arguments? With a few exceptions, the last handful of strips have all been "look at this idiot argue something that I, the author, am smarter than and know better than". It's boring and irksome. I suggest finding alternate ways to make your point.

in all honesty sometimes it is the Gamers fault, of course those games usually end up as Cult Classics and rarely includes games that when the steam Earily access route.

Guessing Marathon players atm. They were hyping up the numbers before release, and now that player count is being shown they are downplaying it so hard now that numbers don't matter.

There is very often that semi ok or even bad games go long way if dev is there ( if it is their vanity / passion project) and fix it, it can take 10 years but boat keeps sailing.
There is always shovelware and big publishers cutting cost if there is no megahit on launch.

I don't get the obsession with checking steamcharts and labeling a game as "dead" just because it doesn't have Counter Strike levels of players. If there's 1k concurrent players then you will find a low ping game pretty quickly. Even 100 concurrent players you can still find matches for most games

In this year of this era some people still dare to enjoy games and look forward to them.
We should give them a name. Game-likers. Game-lovers. Game-something-ers.

The best part is this comic will still be relevant and perfectly describe flops that haven't even been thought of currently.

There's a difference between making a game people want to play, and making a game you want people to play.

Honestly the Publishers behind the game didn't support it properly. If it got advertizing and a full year to fail it could of actually been something.

Making fun of the very small playerbase who still enjoyed the game instead of the massive engagement farming and grifting channels surrounding it is... Certainly a choice.
