@??? Yeah, we got old but that's not the point. The point is that Pokemon games get made cheaply and incompetently while, for instance, people loved Bananza, Mario Odyssey, enjoyed the N. Sane trilogy, etc.

There are now a wealth of monster hunting and monster taming games that have moved beyond the antiquity of Pokemon. Hell Digimon Story just came out. It's time to move on.

I understand the sentiment, but there are plenty of classic games made for kids that have innovated and improved throughout the years. Mario, Zelda, Sonic, Donkey Kong, Tetris, Final Fantasy, etc. Now, not all of these are exclusively for kids, and many simply push out a remake, but still.

If you make something on of for children you are missing out on the other half of the family.

Also we should have higher standards for kids as saying 'it is just for kids' doesn't excuse the game being a mess. The kids will complain and then it will be your problem.

The Problem occurs when Nintendo does scummy stuff like their Switch 2 practices and overpricing these games. I made the choice to stop playing Pokemon after Sun and Moon, when i realized the games had become far too easy, holding your hand too much as well as dumbing things down. It's that simple.

Honestly there was alot of effort put into the game. People are just really high on the Nintendo hate train atm. It's more appropriate to say if you temper your expectation's, you won't be disappointed with everything all the time.

Just because it's "for kids" doesn't excuse it from criticism. I know it's ridiculous to expect every piece of children's media to be Citizen Kane, but by that same token, that doesn't give you carte blanche to pump out slop.

i hate this reasoning because what.. kids dont deserve great and good looking games now? just because those games are targeted towards kids doesnt mean devs should not work hard at all on improving them.

"Nintendo lost its edge this generation." I can't disagree more. Game Freaks lost its edge many, many generations ago. It didn't hurt sales then either.

A game can be targetted to both, and evidently there is still a large adult fandom for Pokemon, and they do have a right to complain. Evidently however the company does not appear interested in even trying to appease them however. Maybe they should move on to Digimon?

Pokemon Company as a company makes me envious if I were a CEO of a company...I wish I had brand fans as attached to the IP as they are.

Gonna say, While I am having fun, This game is kind of not made for kids either. Like story wise, it front loads it with callbacks, you join in to save the city and aren't told what you're saving it from until like 2-3 hours in. Like I know why there is a 3000 year old man but little Timmy won't

Going to say, I am having fun, but this was kind of not made for kids either though. The story is confusing if you haven't played X or Y which are like 10 change years old at this point. Like the call backs take over the intro and you don't even get your main motivation until like a few hours in.

Anne's right though. Like is ZA a GREAT game? Nah, like other games that came out recently honestly mog on it. Is it a fun game with which you can turn your brain off and just enjoy? Absolutely. Online 4 way Ranked battles with the new CD system are chaotic, frenetic and insanely fun
