Cont... Captain created than the original author himself. Since Jo comic became his profession I think he decided to move on to make all main characters his own original creations.
Cont. (the site would give me an error every time I tried to post the rest) I think that since Jo became more popular and Captain for fun comic was forgotten also with Captain changing his name and deleting the comic from his sites it didn't feel right for Jo to make more profit from the characters
Jo. I see a lot of boxes, but I don't see the girls. Do you need us to punch some air holes in there or are we getting a new cast? Or did I just ruin the punchline of the next comic?
The other engie was created by Captain in a comic featuring all girl versions of TF2 characters. He posted a few comics on 4chan a long time ago and probably was reasonably popular there at the time (but 4chan was an obscure place know by few).
Zone-tan is fine because the artist is specifically okay with people using their character, red engie is more of a, not sure so we don't to be safe kind of thing.
