And Marc Lauzon, they DO have weapons in Rumble, but they mostly just push, pull, teleport, or stop the cars or ball. If you do explode, respawn timer is 1 or 2 seconds.

Go to Rumble. Here punchs, kiks, tornado, freeze and more.

I don't think having weapons would be the same challenge, players would probably grow bitter from the constant death and respawn timer, you know, the usual FPS complain. Also think there's enough death-inducing games.

At least Rocket League is easier to say and to remember than Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars.

yea rocket league does have a misleading name, you'd expect it to be more like twisted metal then a vehicle version of Soccer with Stunticon levels of defying physics
