@Otter: it's because He started with only wordless stuff then didn't do it for quite a while.
So when he does do one again it's like a "Classic" sort of thing.

I still don't really get the gold border thing. I don't remember Jo ever doing gold borders on wordless comics, and I did check the archives for both gags and archs.
So what is the reference I'm missing?

i agree with Groynin, the gold border has a special feeling to it. also, if you're feeling nostalgic perhaps it's time for a TF2 arc. i'm sure everyone is wondering what pyro is up to these days.
