Indeed, Shantae is fun, and the artistic graphics are so good it makes you love it, but as far as gameplay goes, it's pretty subpar.

1/2 Genie Hero is kind of easy, but it's so vibrantly energetic and fun and that sells it for me.

@Lampenpam It's definitely got fanservice, but it's very tame about it.

@Jo Pereira .cont... The Steam code worked as soon as I got it, so why wait. It's pretty solid, you'll love it. Not that hard, but very enjoyable. Great soundtrack. Easy to find where things are, and where to go.

I've played through Shantae Half Genie Hero to 100% (Normal Mode, Risky Mode isn't out yet, Hero Mode for later) and it's radically different from Risky's Revenge (didn't play Pirate Curse yet). It's more like Order of Ecclesia, where you choose a level on a map.

@MangoMaster4 Shantae has barely any fan service besides the cute character design. Saying it's all about it makes me think you are talking about a different game.

Shantae is all about fanservice man.

It's too bad it wasn't released in Japan where it could have sold as eroge.

All wayforwards games are stocked full with fanservice though, all of it delicious.
