It's when I (fairly infrequently) get stuck on a room where half the entire freaking players have decided to have a "friendship fest" or some garbage and get irritated when I use them as target practice that I question Overwatch's queuing...

Always got to blame someone or something else.

Omfg. Everytime I see someone bitch about the report system I die a little. Face it if you bitch about the report system then you are almost always a toxic little piece of shit that deserves every second of LP. But of course its always the same with your kind.

@Zacsi: Please don't misuse terms like Occam's Razor, look up what it actually means rather than going by what you heard that it means.

Ah man I'm sorry, but you're delusional if you think the report system in Dota 2 works.

@MechaKingGhidra: Well the thing is, he was buffed before he was nerfed. So the comic still doesn't really make sense.

@Albus Nix: Don't forget about Crystal Maiden and Earth Spirit!

Occam's Razor Jo, there are more shit players in the weekend because school is out.
Same reason why summer is shit for pubstomping alone.

And Yes, I am a Filthy Casual. I play games for fun, not to "be the best". Hey, if I'm top third that's pretty awesome. *I also do not drop if I'm losing. that's wrong.

I dont think it matters if it's causal or competitive play. Some of the worst gamers I've met are the ones who take shit too seriously. Like KDR whores who will spawn camp you in a bitchy rage or cheap tactic users who brag like they have skill.

Casual games attract the worst players. I remember playing a lot of Heroes of the Storm, which is a casual version of Dota, and the people there were some of the worst I've had to play with.

On the other hand, more competitive games seem to not have this problem as much.

(cont.) are still noticeable in some places in DotA 2.

@Frid: Yeah . . . pretty much any MOBA these days has at least one spin-to-win character, to be honest. DotA 2 has both Axe (Counter Helix) and Juggernaut (Blade Fury).

(cont.) actually slightly scary how recognizeable the fonts and visual styles in the movie are if you're an experienced League player.) At this point, Valve has been slowly moving away from Blizzard's naming conventions and visual style (mainly for copyright reasons), but the similarities (cont.)

Riot hired other major DotA mod developers (e.g. Guinsoo), and they have (with Blizzard's blessing) kept a lot of the visual style of Warcraft. @MechaKingGhidra: No, it's not bad that you thought that. Both DotA 2 and League of Legends are in their own ways based off of Warcraft III. DotA 2 is a Valveified rework of the Defense of the Ancients mod to a battle arena in Blizzard's Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Icefrog was a game (cont.)

Wait, dota has spin2win?

I mean, it still can be used to jungle and farm neutral creeps, it's just that it takes longer now.

@MechaKingGhidra
Taken from the most recent patch notes...
Counter Helix damage reduced from 90/120/150/180 to 75/110/145/180

To those who don't understand, Counter Helix is a passive ability that actives when Axe (the red guy there) is attacked. Which WAS good at taking out neutral creeps.

So did this character in DoTA get recently nerfed all to heck...? I'm a little lost on the context, otherwise.

Although I'm well aware of the history as to what made DoTA what it is, is it bad that when I saw him, my thoughts IMMEDIATELY lept to 'holy shit, a Warcraft unit"?

In general, the skill level of the players get lower when the "casuals" are playing. Although I haven't experienced many leavers, I suspect it also is higher when casuals are playing simply because they'd be more prone to leave to do something else. Might be wrong.
