Lately I've been dying to learn more about indie games: how they are started, how they are developed, etc.

Mainstream games have a fixed formula… while they are amazing on their own, if you've played a lot of them you start to see a pattern. The need to please a broader group of people while avoiding more polemic themes greatly reduces how refreshing a big brand game can be.

I like the rough finish an indie game has, without the frills and compromises of a commercial game. They can risk more and sometimes delivery a richer experience.

If you are an indie developer, give me a tell. I'd like to know more about this mysterious world.
