I play Roadhog (who needs his target at point-blank range to hit) and Tracer (who specialises in moving fast and hitting hard, not shooting straight). Here's a hint; You could probably count the number of instances my shots connect on one hand.
I'm roughly around your rating Jo. I've got about 30-50% accuracy depending on the character but I'm also top 3% elims and top 2% damage. But I'd mostly agree, your accuracy needs to be kind of insane for McCree to be effective. So he's not one of my go-tos.

Some of the best players (Tournament attenders) have less than 50%. Hell I see a lot of videos of match highlights they have when they DO hit 50% in a match. It's a fast paced game you can't be expected to hit too much all the time. Sometimes unloading a weapon into a choke point > "accuracy".
My McCree HitRate is about 70%, my effective hits are maybe like 60%.
Ana Scooped is like 70-80%, unscooped like 60-70%.... Tranq dart i cant hit for shit.
@AsteriskCGY: This. Genji, Reaper, and Tracer, as enemy backline assassins, and McCree, as an offensive defender with a relatively low rate of fire, will tend toward a higher accuracy because of limited effect when firing into chokes, and their backline performance depends heavily on accuracy.
