Steam has been in my living room for nearly as long as Team Fortress 2 has been around. It's called hook your PC up to the HDTV.

@Commelina XD-26: They really are not doing hardware, tbh. Rather, they are trying to get various PC manufacturers to do it for them, and install SteamOS on it. Imagine an Alienware Steam Machine...
Basically its a PC - Windows cost - monitor cost - peripherals + Steam Controller

But Valve can't even count to 3. How can they make TF3 or a gaming machine?

I have to say I'm kinda awed (or shocked) to see Valve did this. Valve has to be the least expecting company when it comes to hardware, IMO.

If there's exclusive titles for the SteamOS, i might buy it. I'l stay on my PC until then kthx.

Steam OS is great news. I was worried how M$ might begin hurting steam through that cursed GFWL in W8...
Machines doesn't change anything really, but that steam controller seems innovative, might give it a try.
