I think the joke is that when you kill players nothing happens except a small message in the corner along with other messages but when you kill the courier a message appears in the middle of the screen for both teams and it is announced.

The reason why dota 2 sucks its their fanbase, the comic has been always a "Jo-plays-jo-draws" the difference is that TF2 is a lot more popular and simplier than dota 2, not to mention that mostly, TF2 can be understood by most gamers that have a basic knowledge of gaming, yet, dota does not.

All else being equal, both the TF2 and DOTA strips have used inside information from their games. However, I think TF2 is by default a much simpler game to understand for outsiders. For one, it's a simple FPS, so most gamers already know the core mechanics. For another, it only has 9 classes...

The people commenting about how DoTA shouldn't be the topic of Jo/NerfNOW are probably people who have followed this comic from way back when and started following it because it was a TF2 comic with several arcs about TF2 with stories and whatnot. They're Disgruntled because it's mostly DoTA now.

The joke here is obviously that CM was always losing because she plays support, then she gets a special courrier, which suspiciously gets killed, triggering a murderous rage where she kills the enemy team and stops losing.
The lesson here is that valve are evil masterminds.

I'm not even a TF 2 player but those comics were accessible and made sense in some way (and used to be funny).
Dota 2 on the other hand is anything but. MOBA are the worst games, attract the worst community and the comics about it seem to fit it percectly.

pudge was careless in watching out for the courier.
cm gets pissed and takes pudge's place in mid. pudge ends up with being the support as indicated by wards(which have been already used several times in the comic, shame on those who didnt get it, unless your new of course).

then the courier got killed by the one at mid, most likely sniper(the guy holding the gun). also likely that
