And then makes rules that are very likely to cut off the entirety of indie game devs that aren't proper companies, the kind for which the share they're getting from the sales is most critical?Pramadito Rafiaqil Ibrahimhttps://facebook.com/2580874901939975Comment #9 for "I'll Manage Somehow"http://www.nerfnow.com/comic/2523/comments#3938022019-03-22T11:11:50ZOh boy this is gonna be goodPaul Hardcastlehttps://facebook.com/60605955Comment #8 for "I'll Manage Somehow"http://www.nerfnow.com/comic/2523/comments#3937982019-03-22T04:40:29ZSure, things will be lost in the scuffle. But I would prefer to miss out on something that might be good, than to have to wade through the garbage that is the current State of Steam.Paul Hardcastlehttps://facebook.com/60605955Comment #7 for "I'll Manage Somehow"http://www.nerfnow.com/comic/2523/comments#3937972019-03-22T04:39:28ZThe idea is to tell Developers and Publishers the standards they must meet, before getting accepted, and double checking their work it gets submitted. Major delays to the release of the game is supposed to deter them from not policing their own quality before submitting. Just like Consoles do. Buying exclusives, data-mining Steam user data? Yeah, none of that for me thanks.Yael Athttps://plus.google.com/111082527835227026777Comment #5 for "I'll Manage Somehow"http://www.nerfnow.com/comic/2523/comments#3937952019-03-21T17:14:02ZI don't really see the issue with Steam's approach though. Given limited free-time, you're probably going to buy some game you've read or watched positive things about, anyway, so the curation happens externally ultimately.
Which always leaves me to wonder, who the hell buys asset-flip games.Tommy Lathamhttps://facebook.com/2179642628729437Comment #4 for "I'll Manage Somehow"http://www.nerfnow.com/comic/2523/comments#3937942019-03-21T16:58:04ZI'd rather have a cluttered store that's hard to randomly find gems in, than I would a store that doesn't allow those smaller games that wouldn't get a chance otherwise. Word of Mouth is the best source of advertising for me nowadays.Ian Urionhttps://facebook.com/843578039031415Comment #3 for "I'll Manage Somehow"http://www.nerfnow.com/comic/2523/comments#3937932019-03-21T15:12:42ZIf they had half a brain, they'd just let the market decide if a game is crappy or not. Hell, look at flappy bird, such a simple game with stolen assets and utterly loved by so many. Respond to scams and copywrite infringement as necessary and watch the money roll in, it ain't rocket science.Qwefg Lockhearthttps://facebook.com/100004916714388Comment #2 for "I'll Manage Somehow"http://www.nerfnow.com/comic/2523/comments#3937922019-03-21T13:41:56ZLike so many things it sounds good in theory, but what counts as 'good' is subjective and there is a question about how long the wait time will be.

Would they not pre-order or allow any games to be bought until a X delay? Or will they be paid to accept and sell a game despite it being garbage?Julius Nenonenhttps://facebook.com/434939387243647Comment #1 for "I'll Manage Somehow"http://www.nerfnow.com/comic/2523/comments#3937912019-03-21T10:39:40ZThey don't allow crappy games, they'll poach all the hyped ones for exclusivity with fortnight vbucks.
