On decoy, there's that one last wave where they sick 10 mega heavies and boosted soldiers on you and they have medics and there's tanks with supporting snipers and scouts... and... oh god (shivers due to how many times i've lost that one wave) I'm in my happy zone don't disturb me.

I think we need a strip for the newfound love between Engineers and Spies ... with sapping sentry busters ... all sins are forgiven.

@TheVampirate He's actually a really good support class, but not like usual. If he uses Jarate he grants his team mini-crits (or crits using the Bushwakka). I hear it and the bleed effect's good against giant droids.

@DM1293: And fire resistance for Pyros.
Why? Because they aim perfectly when you're fighting them, and pyro vs pyro fights are always decided by who can keep the flame on the other better.

I can't help but think Spybots avoid pyros too. I don't really encounter them as I'm going around burning things.

Also word of advice, buy ubers and bullet resistance as a pyro for the heavybots, and critboosts for the tank. You'd be surprised how well a flamethrower melts it...

@Yaezakura: I'd say at least one Engineer is necessary. A dispenser is a huge asset to your frontliners and the Sentry can really help mop up any bots that manage to weasel past (of which there are quite a few).

Plus, a wrangled sentry is seriously some of the highest DPS you can get.

Snipers area really useful because they can spam jarate, which is great for increasing team damage/slowing waves, and an upgraded sniper rifle can easily take out medicbots, not to mention keeping an eye out for spybots; just turn around and shoot them as they decloak.

@TheVampirate: Snipers can work just fine. I generally find Engineers are over-rated for the mode. They're not flexible enough to respond quickly if the action moves beyond their nest, and their presence triggers the arrival of Sentry Busters.

And dude, it's true. Spectate and watch from a spybot's p.o.v, the thing will pick a less traveled path and sneak behind the busiest players.

ten soldierbots, six demomen, a giant robo-scout, and three giantic crocket soldiers all spamming stuff at you are.

The real question is why do they even have a sniper going in MvM mode? Really switch to engineer or medic.

@Zacsi: And using the Heatmaker makes you not have to waste money getting reload time since with full charge rate, while in Focus, it can get a fully charged shot just after it finishes reloading anyway.
Reload costs more than penetration, and even with reload Heatmaker is still faster.

So what people are complaining about, it seems--the MvM bots are coded to act like the most annoying human players they could find? ;-) (Spawn-camping, etc...)

For some reason, I hate Spybots more than human Spies, they will always circle around you and stab you when they get the chance.

In the forums someone suggest that when the Soldier wearing the Tin Soldier set

-Soldier robots will ignore him
-Other robots focus fire him

Best Nerf Now in a while. Not implying that the last few were bad...

They are easy to spot if you are looking at them (as in tell it's not a real player) but they are also really good at getting behind you way faster than you thought they could. i think they spawn a bit before the game tells you they did.

@Discrider: Well i dont feel pinned to scope with headtaker. You can always unzoom if you need when having a bonus. You have to be aware and know when its safe to sit scoped with bonus and then it pays off.

And beside all that i use it because it looks awesome and has a silencer :D

I always use the Sniper Rifle. Hitman's Heatmaker is just bad IMO cause it keeps you locked to your scope and waiting to be stabbed/flanked. And I never understood why you'd want penetration. Unless you're going for bodyshots...

I won in Mann up mode using a Machina.
Not having to buy penetration saves you a lot of money to spend on other things.
After getting all the extra damage spending on reload time and charge time will make you quite op.
And you can always just spam jarate if you fuck up.

I find that the support role bots are worse to different classes. Front line classes who get close to the battles risk not noticing sniperbots lining up on their heads and classes who act more in the back and sidelines have to worry about the spybots.

Spies aren't so bad, since...I am one. Thats my only job really; kill the spy/snipers, sap the bigger robots and groups, uber/backstab combo when needed.

spies, not a problem. those razzafrazzin' snipers though... nothing like walking out of the spawn from respawning and getting blasted by a sniperbot.
