I for one will still appreciate more Blizzard and Diablo hate.
A million years in development and hyped more than the second coming of Jesus for one glorious unimpressive and disastrous game.
It's ok to hate Blizzard, it has no soul. Not anymore.

Irony. Fire and brimstone around with devils running around with a sign that says "Blizzard" which is a huge snow storm. Another way of saying Hell Freezing over.
Words.

Really, it's okay. You can go a couple weeks without taking another jab at Diablo 3. Nobody is going to accuse you of suddenly loving it again.
This is resorting to jokes the Blizzard forums have been spewing for over a month now.
The well has dried up.

@Clynow: You have besmirched Electronic Arts. You're EA games are not put into purgatory and you will no longer have access to the online sections of your games nor access to the forums (old joke but still going)

Blizzard thought it had defeated Activison. To ensure that Activison wouldn't corrupt the world anymore they merged with it, ramming the Activision stone into their forehead. Activision then corrupted Blizzard as we all know through Diablo 2.

I'd say that Blizzard lost its soul after its merger with Activision.

@Dean Ray Johnson: Said the troll.

Seriously, if you expect anyone to take you seriously you should avoid ending your argument with a personal attack.

Diablo 2 had money trading, on the down low. Diablo 2 had endless meaningless grinding. Diablo 2 was all about the items you could trade on the forums. The only real difference between D2 and D3 was that D2 didn't fix its exploits right away. Come at me, trolls.

@2033: Warcraft: Orcs & Humans or World of "Warcraft"? I was around since O&H, and up to the point when WoW was made (and about a year in) Blizzard was still one of the good-guy companies. Not so much nowadays of course.

I've personally learned that even though a guy has given up on a game and declared that it sucks, he'll still continue to make pretentious comics about it as if he has no other material, because there's nothing better to do than bitch about something that one has already quit!

I know Blizzard for a while already. Probably a tad longer than most of you (I was around when Warcraft came out, after all), and what I learned from the WoW incident with a certain factiontown and a levitation scroll, heads will roll. Or tears. Because accounts are banned...

I'm glad i'm slowly going the retro gaming route. I'd take retro games and overlooked gems on GOG over full priced 60$ Microtransaction based software which are slowly flooding all platforms.

So how does the fact that there's a server restart, ostensibly to fix the invincibility issue, change the comic? "They're ruining our fun Blizzard is evil," "they should have fixed it sooner Blizzard is evil" or "I'm pretending this didn't change Blizzard is evil"?

Blizzard do seem to be against players actually playing the game, and changes things dramatically the second they see some bug they couldn´t be assed to test out properly themself.

As I said before - Diablo 3 isn´t more than the auction house wrapped in the disguise of a game. Or at least Blizzard / the media made too big of a deal of the auction house when announcing it that it in my case overshadowed the game. But yes...

Hey Jo, you should have used Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt devil design. They are devils, they are hot, and they don't want people to have fun! This way you keep the joke and add fanservice, anime reference and cameo in the same strip!

Mixing gaming and money is fine, as long as it isn't nickle-and-diming players to death under the pretense of "free" to play.
Lockgar
My favorite line for Diablo 3 development has to be when they apologized for no "end game content."
Keep in mind that Diablo 3, is not an MMO, and actually has an end based on its narrative. The "end game content" is the game ending. Blizzard, do you even know what you're trying to make anymore. :p

@ Clynow There's no way you can bring back the blizzard of old. The bigger a company gets, the more money it needs and the more businesslike they'll be, its just the way of things. Even bioware went down that route with its DLCs. Maybe mythic (torchlight 2 makers) might be more akin to the old blizz
Clynow
asd that's been going for so long that the Blizzard we once knew is absolutely dead, getting a new publisher wouldn't help a bit.
Only time traveling and bringing the old staff, before many left and others became cynical businessmen would bring Blizzard back.
And that might be impossible.
Honesty Man

Blizzard takes a dim view on manipulation and bug extortion, expect to see a wake of bans.
asd
@Clynow They're part of activision now. The head hocho at activision has made many comments that show that all he really cares about is getting as much money as possible, so that's where blizzard games will go on from now. Unless they change their publisher its the way it'll be. Business is business

I wonder what is/was the most expensive item sold in the black market. Both Diablo 3 or D2.
Black market- NOT Blizzard AH
Clynow
Ok I take that back, they're not buying the rights to have exclusive monopolies with any sport or underpaying programmers like EA yet but they definitely went to the dark side of videogames.
asd
You NEVER have to use the real money AH. A simple search on the gold and RMAH shows that generally the gold AH actually has better items. The game is perfectly doable w/o the RMAH, the people complaining are those who can NOT curb their own spending urges.

Post TBC-WOW Blizzard is greedy and apathetic towards ethics, the quality of its games, the interests and needs of players and its customers in general.

They took a completely business centric approach.
They are no better than EA.
