Renegade points don't mean you are evil, just that you are prepared to make hard decisions where there will be negative consequence. Paragon just means you are a moral example to all. And to cold-heartedly sacrifice people rather than give them a chance isn't exactly angelic ;)

When I got to that part in ME1, I chose for humans to join in and attack. thinking it would be best with all the fire power I can get.

They say that many humans died, but really? we barely have 30 on my ship, we lost around maybe 300? arn't they exaggerating a bit.

Don't worry, I saved them in an attempt to build good will among the various races, whose help I thought I would soon need. In ME2, the Council acts pretty much exactly the same as they did in ME1. They chalked the Reaper attack up to a one-off thing that had been "resolved."

Mass Effect: The only RPG where charisma is the best stat and it levels *itself*.

The Turian Counciler is alive in my playthroughs because the Asari and Salarian Councilers were mostly tolerable. I look forward to seeing the Turian being forced to eat crow.

@Altherix: Humans are jerks. But so are Turians, Asari and Salarians. I couldn't push that "Let them die!" option fast enough. (And I was on a paragon path.)

In a nutshell: "Saved = Humanity is our friends" or "Die = Humanity are a bunch of jerks" is the overarching feeling in ME2.

I just wish ME2 had points you could cut off the council mid-transmission, very satisfying.

I did the exact same thing. I focused on saving the Galaxy instead of throwing it away for some politicians and in ME2, they treat it like you intentionally let the Council die out of spite.
