I agree completely. And that's why I tend to play indie games more often these days. Not only are they innovative, but they're short and sweet. Hero Core, Action Fist, and Wake were much more interesting than any of the big name games that came out this past month . . .

I don't mind the fan-service/one-shot comics. Just means the artist is either
A) out of ideas for story arcs at the time
B) writers block (but not artists cramp)or
C) Still working on a story arc but in need of something to update with

@Tribalbeat: Reiteration of previous points about how telling a webcomic artist what they should be drawing (part of the blame lies with the artist for listening though) instead of that they want to be drawing is t number one way of killing off a good webcomic.

There's a reason this Blue Koopa has yet to become extinct. They're evolving to look alluring to human males (and some strange females who I doubt exist) so that instead of being brutally murdered for the explosive shell, they're being wooed and courted so that the species may propagate.

Reminds me of the "Fucking Blue Shells" pie chart in xkcd when I saw the title.
