Alright, I have to give you a big thank you for making this comic. I personally love the Defiler unit so much that my alias was originally conceived by my adolescent mind's fascination with the plague technique (dark swarm, featured in this comic, and plague are also both useful in money maps).

@zeruf: Isn't just jumping for jumping sake... it's being able to create shortcuts and move more easily. I hate the need to take the long way because my feet can stop touching the ground.

yea i hear you there joe, jumping in a game even though utterly useless is a thing that gives the feling of freedom. andafter playing WoW for so long and wathing everyone hop around like bunnies, i felt grounded and limited by Final Fantasy 11's mecahnics, glued to the floor on a flat landscape

You think that's bad? Capcom took over 15 years to make a Megaman *crouch*. He still can't shoot up, though.

Micro? They'll kill one ling as they charge in, then just beat the other two by weight of numbers. Just gotta make sure they're both shooting the same ling.

Maybe 3 lings could kill two rines if the rines just stood there and didn't use stim pack... Pretty sure any decent terran player can micro a couple of marines around to kill a few lings.

The saddest part about this is that 3 lings could just easily kill 2 rine, even without a defiler xD Maybe defiler is a spy D:<

@Pie - Because Defilers can only use consume on friendly zerg units. Those are enemy Terran units.

Guild Wars IS the ability to not jump. It sure is some nice addition but lets focus on the marvelous new henchmen system or almost free roaming :) It still would be a fine piece of game without the ability to lift of your feet for almost 2 seconds.

Anyone remember the map Mixed Special Forces? You could get a defiler hero... 0 energy to cast Dark Swarm and Plague (which BTW is what she is casting with Dark Swarm)... Epic spam fun, provided you've got backup.

Personally I'm NOT happy about the jumping stuff, it's an MMO. There will be lag and stuff, especially now they're making the zones bigger and more populated.

So jumping, etc. are mechanics that require timing, precision and notably a lack of lag unless you want to jump in a deep hole by accident

For those confused, I believe the big one is a defiler, the cloud is I think, Dark Swarm. Made all ranged attacks miss targets in the cloud I think. Lastly, the growl is it had an ability to eat fellow zerg units to regenerate energy.

I hope I'm right.

Sooo, I can't figure out what Zerg that big one is. The small ones are obviously zerglings because of "rush" printed on their chest xD

Play Total Annihilation yesterday, it still rocks the shit out of Supreme Commander - mostly because in TA you get flashy carnage at the right perspective while in SC you are mostly zoomed out as far as possible to get better micromanagement control.

So basically 1997 TA has better graphics.

I wish playing GW1 would count for more things in GW2 instead of just trophies, I havern't had any incentive to play GW1 for years. I really enjoyed it too until my friends stopped playing, noone did pve anymore making both low end and high end mission hard, and the ingame economy became flooded :(
