Lastly, that won't hinder Dota's popularity or make it worse, but it HAS changed nevertheless. I was never a fan of the ARTS genre, I've played most of them and all felt thoroughly "meh". Dota was different, so much that I've put 2k+ hours in it, but now I just can't play it anymore.

And Tyler Wang, 7.00 was basically "we've changed dota into less dota and a little of HotS and LoL for no reason whatsoever". That's a fact. Even though Dota is the pioneer on the genre, they scrapped their originality to add HotS mechanics and LoL HUDs. Dota IS more of the same now...

@Vode An: They was a day I'd stand up for Valve like that guy did, but lately Valve's been on a shit streak, and not just the 7.00 update, their policies and other games managing has been deppressing. Only companies I care now is Sega and Codies, and ever so rarely I'll argue about it randomly now.

I don't see how that would affect game's balance. Bottle is outright terrible since the last few patches, you can get more sustain with less cash with salves and clarity, that goes double now that f ranged creeps can't cancel it anymore.

Maybe Ice Frog should let the shrines refill bottle and just reduce the amount of health and mana the bottle charges restore. Seems like bottle charges should be nerfed now that there are runes all over the map

@wildcolt it depends on the game in a multiplayer competitive gamers yes because balance can make the game really frustrating, in other games balance is the last thing gamers think about when evaluating an update.
