Funnily enough, this makes the combat rifle the worst weapon for open combat. And once again makes the 10mm pistol the ultimate weapon.

Even in games prying for "realism" such as No More Room in Hell, ammo boxes carrying 15 bullets is ridiculous, especially when they use models of real-world manufactured boolets for 50 count boxes :P . Apparently people don't want ammo enough to have to try-hard to find it xD

Ahem, yes, it is 2 bullets... But to be more correct it's 10 BOOLets.

It also sucks in Deus Ex how you pick up a gun you already have and it only gives you 3-4 bullets.

For that, Metro:2033 is really nice. You see a bullet? You get a bullet. You see five bullets? You get five bullets.
You have to FIND them, but it's a really nice feeling when you do.

It could just be that the boxes you find have already been used. Somebody loaded their clip, had a few extra left, and set the box aside for safe-keeping. Or just threw it down, not caring about littering.

The game was actually pretty damned good as a stealth game. If I recall, it was a lot what payday 2 is.

play stalker on master for superbullshit mode. every body has a gun... and 10-20 bullets to go with it.

which is exceptionally silly considering how bots can shower you with ammo literally forever.

Maybe your finding leftovers? The bad guys seem to have plenty of ammo, those are just the two that didnt fit in the gun clips after filling them.

The bullets have been improperly stored, that's why!

Why do you even use ammo?
I played non-lethal and i kept having to dump ammo and weapons off me because it was gathering in my inventory.
