Cards for games that are free to play (dota 2 and TF2) are acquired based on money spent on the game store (AKA cosmetics you bought).

Stop being fool. Just get every card, sell them and make about 7-8 USD. If you get an foil, card, it is worth about 10 USD each, some worth up to 20.

With that buy any game you want, in my case, dont starve, and ill get EVEN MORE cards.

Start game before you go to bed.

Wake up.

Find out you have gotten all the drops for that game.

Repeat by leaving games open in the background while you do other things or aren't there until you have all your guaranteed drops.

Sell drops for 1$ each.

this is filler, fillers are usually uglier to look at

Engie's face looks a bit weird in this strip. I dunno what it is but something looks pretty wrong.

So with each player only getting half a set (rounded up) worth of drops, and drops possibly containing duplicates, less than half of the players of any given game are capable of getting a single full set, and there are badges up to five. That's broken enough to ensure I won't use the Market for it.

Damn, when I saw the comic title I got all excited for the chance of Engie cosplaying as Card Captor Sakura.

I lol'd at their current system. By design, between 50% and 90% of all players will never see even the first badge rank for the majority of their games.

Really cool to see how the steam market is reacting to a new influx of cards (new people being added) and a decrease in cards (people crafting badges). I wonder what will happen to it when the cards have been crafted away after a while.

What I don't like about this is that you have limit of about 50% of cards in every game's set of cards, which you can drop by yourself and the other half you have to get from other steam members (trading or using market).
